Regine Becker

I was born in Freiberg/Sachsen 1966. As a child I loved to draw and paint animals and wanted my pictures to tell a story. This led me to want to be cartoon animator from an early age. During my apprenticeship in the DEFA-Studio für Trickfilme I took a two-year night-school course at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Dresden. From 1986-1989, I studied animation at the "Konrad Wolf" Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 1989 I graduated with a diploma in Animation.

After Germany reunified I worked as a graphic artist for various advertising agencies (including W. Asperger GmbH, zebra Werbeagentur, Young & Rubicam, Hachmeister & Kuschel advertising). In 1997 I moved to Sankt Augustin to be with my husband and started a prolonged period of work as graphic designer for the Hippocampus Verlag Bad Honnef, where I was responsible for the layout, typesetting and production of medical publications.

I have been a freelance illustrator and graphic designer since 2008. My current customers include: Hippocampus Verlag, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernührung, Stadt Sankt Augustin, Moderne Sonnenschutz-Systeme GmbH, as well as new businesses and private persons.
